Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world; if it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews.
But now, My kingdom is not of this realm.”
Being in the kingdom is our effortless natural inner state.
The whole Bible is about here and now – timelessly – but it is not easy to see. We start reading it as a story, as being about "others", elsewhere, a long time ago.
We are following Jesus – the messenger of God/Life/Love here and now – by studying and applying his teaching. It is not a path of milk and honey because we tend to be too complicated.
We might encounter lots of resistance and disbelieve inside of our own person – the one we believe/defend our self to be.
“Lord,” someone asked Him, “will only a few people be saved?”
Jesus answered, “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able. After the master of the house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ But he will reply, ‘I do not know where you are from.’…
Scripture exists for us to transition from your slavery to the senses and your reasoning mind (Egypt), back into your natural state of Happiness and Harmony.
The characters, places and states in the Bible relate to your own psychological drama in this world. Don't just read it as a story, but relate it to yourself, the one you call "I" your whole life, but know so little about.
At one point we should know where we are from: we start out being born from below, born of woman, knowing only what our conditioned mind reports to us; through meditation/prayer and study we reacquaint ourselves with our true nature, as Spirit, as children of God. The proof of reality is experience, not assumption.
Jesus replied, “Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’?
If he called them gods to whom the word of God came— and the Scripture cannot be broken— then what about the One whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world? How then can you accuse Me of blasphemy for stating that I am the Son of God?…
The enemy is in our own house (mind) in the form of resistance; defending the old familiar ways of thinking and feeling.
Following Jesus is our natural internal process of examining, testing and exploring the nature of our mind and our true identity.
It is love that keeps us on the path; it is amazing to take a closer look at how we operate as a person. The point is not to become a better person, but to develop spiritual discernment: to immediately see and intuit if we come from our person (story), or from Love (forgiveness).
